You'll just need to do research based on your specific car. The gap will need to tighten/shorten as you are takin in more air/adding more boost. The smaller gap basically helps to assure your spark will not get blown out, if you will, at higher intake speeds. However, you don't want a smaller gap than recommended if your car is basically stock.... I believe it may cause premature detonation.
